YOUR UNION - YOUR RIGHT

All workers in Ireland, regardless of nationality, have rights at work protected by law.  These include:

  • A written statement outlining your contract of employment
  • A minimum wage
  • Specified hours of work and holiday entitlements
  • Protection from unfair dismissal
  • The right to join a Trade Union

Click here for a summary of workplace rights provided by the Irish Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment.

Trade unions represent and defend the rights of their members:

  • Your Union membership is the best way of securing your rights at work
  • Your Union will protect you from unfair treatment
  • Your Union will negotiate a fair wage and good working conditions

We want to welcome you as a member.  Join us and ensure that your rights are secured today. Call 01 889 7777 (Republic of Ireland) or 02890 247940 (Northern Ireland) or email us for further information.

For further information on workplace rights or how to join a union, call Congress in Dublin at 01 889 7777 or in Belfast at 02890 247940
